Fulbright alumni from the Middle East and North Africa who received Fulbright Awards administered by AMIDEAST are eligible to apply for an Alumni Development Grant.

New Competition is now open for Jordanian alumni from the Foreign Student Scholarship Award

A new round of Fulbright Alumni Development Grants competition is now open for applications. We encourage you to apply for a chance to receive up to $1,000 to participate in a virtual professional development opportunity of your choice.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alumni Development Grant (ADG) application, eligibility and grant requirements will look slightly different.  For this round, only virtual professional development activities will be considered for funding and the option of in-person participation will not be offered. As usual, the proposed ADG activity should be a professional development activity, for example attending an online training, presenting at a virtual conference or participating in a collaborative research project. This short-term activity must take place anytime between September 19, 2022 and February 28, 2023.

GUIDELINES AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must have completed their J-1 visa, two-year home residency requirement to be eligible.
  • The proposed activity must be online, whether it be a conference or professional training, only virtual activities will be considered.
  • The professional development activity must take place anytime between September 2022 to March 2023.
  • Requested funds may not exceed $1,000 for your proposed virtual activity.
  • Applications must have been submitted by 5:00PM EST  - July 29th, 2022.
