Fulbright Jordan Welcomes New Intern

In partnership with INJAZ, the Fulbright Commission in Jordan welcomes a new intern to their team.

The Fulbright Commission in Jordan is pleased to welcome Ms. Rana Shihabi as our newest intern.

Ms. Shihabi was chosen to join us at the Bi-national Fulbright Commission in Jordan as part of a partnership between the Commission and INJAZ, the well known nonprofit Jordanian organization, and their Lazord Fellowship Program.

According to INJAZ's website:

The Lazord Fellowship is a program that extends support to graduates of INJAZ’s students as well as graduates of Jordanian public universities to work for existing nonprofits in Jordan for one year. This program will supply talented students to nonprofits, help these graduates develop a critical understanding of the nonprofit world, and further develop their leadership skills for future careers as civic leaders and professionals.

Aside from being a Lazord fellow, Ms. Shihabi is a graduate of the University of Jordan with a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. She has worked and volunteered extensively teaching both Arabic and English, and has experience working in content writing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and social media. Ms. Shihabi is no stranger to the world of cultural and educational exchange herself and was part of an exchange program in college where she studied abroad in Germany at the University of Cologne for one semester.

When asked how that experience of exchange impacted her life, Ms. Shihabi said:
